Our Mission

mission

IronHorse is founded on the principles of holistic athletic development. We believe in equipping athletes physically, mentally, spiritually and educationally, as we emphasize the pursuit of excellence in all phases of their lives.

We strive to build their character as we develop their talents. From practice to game day, from the classroom to the living room, and all points in between, IronHorse aims to give athletes the life skills needed for success beyond the game.

Origin Story

The nickname “IronHorse” was given to Brandon Carr early in his career while he was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Brandon’s position coach, Emmitt Thomas, started to call him “IronHorse”, after discovering that he had never missed a game or practice at that point in his career. The name stuck and so did Brandon’s streak as he went on to start in 192 consecutive games over 12 seasons. For Brandon, the “IronHorse” name exemplifies consistency, durability, and being held accountable every day!
